I think cinema halls are done forever. Who would want to go back to all those mess when we can enjoy almost any movie with a close knit group of people we prefer.

Yeeeeah, no, they are far from done. Maybe a town doesn't need as many as before, but there are tons of people who still enjoy going out to a better setup than what they have at home or an outing for the family. They are here to stay, despite what people believe.

Oooh we went to the theater for the first time in about a decade not too long ago to see Top Gun Maverick. It was definitely worth watching on the big screen like that! There is no similar experience, even with a group of friends. I'm not sure how often I'll go to the theater because it all depends on the movie and what I want to spend my money on. Hollywood isn't producing worthy films and I'm glad Tom Cruise kept out all the woke stuff and politics from his movie.

We haven't been to a theater in a long time & lately, I don't care for the one-sided views they are portraying. I end up watching older 80's & 90's shows & movies instead. Entertainment was better back then without having the hidden agenda. I do know of many who love theaters & yes, you can't beat that experience on a big screen. I just personally prefer to be comfortable in my own home. Plus I am truly spoiled with being able to Pause & Rewind

No, theatres are still being used by public and running most areas, but elders are avoiding them at of no cost. I haven't gone a move from the last 5 years in theater. Life changed as age moved up so lost in watching movies in theaters.

Theatres are fun when we are in teens and around.

I went to almost every Harry Potter movie premiere at the cinema and it was always such an experience. Nothing like being with complete strangers but for the same purpose. I could never get an experience like that at home. Nothing like going to the theater especially highly anticipated movies. I hope cinemas are here to stay.

Those were really great to watch in a theater, you're right!! I remember at one of the showings though, that the audience was not very nice and made the experience bad.

Even with the COVID and all, yes I would agree that it's affected how people are free about getting more cinema time. But I still try once in a while to go. I watched Top Gun : Maverick last at the cinema.
